JACK BROOKS: MONSTER SLAYER (2007) - After witnessing the brutal murder of his family when he was just a boy, Jack Brooks is left with an unquenchable fury. Now, working as a plumber he awakens an ancient demon and Jack realizes that he can’t run from his past. He discovers the true purpose of his inner rage – slaying mother fuckin’ monsters!

Produced by my long-time friend Patrick White who will be making his feature directorial debut next month off another script I wrote. It premiered in Sitges and won the BEST MIDNIGHT FILM AWARD and then went on to screen and sell at SLAMDANCE.  This film gets a lot of attention for its gross out moments and comic performance by horror legend Robert Englund, but there are really some amazing performances across the board in this little film – Rachel Skarsten is always amazing and David Fox, James A. Woods and Stephanie Drummond deliver some scene stealing comic moments in their supporting roles. But the real star of this film is creature effects designer David Scott who managed to pull off some ridiculously awesome practical effects. This is currently my only film shot on actual film and I’m hoping it won’t be my last.
